I have been a mountain biker for a long time and the most important things for me are - Hydration pack for water, spare tube if you get a flat, flat repair kit, hand pump or CO2 cartridges, a multi tool.
These items will keep you from getting stranded. By the way the most important item- Helmet.
Happy Trails and respect the hikers.

Depends on what you want to do with this bike. And what kind of bike. I like my neoprene fork boots. I also commute, so I have a rear rack and a trunk bag (a really crappy Nashbar one; I recommend something else). Panniers are nice for touring folks. Fenders are good if you ride in the rain wearing your best khakis. If you don't want a big fat trunk bag like mine, get a neato under-the-seat bag. And a computer is the bomb. It gives you a sense of accomplishment, and can help you guide your training. Also you can brag about how far you ride every day.
My favorite online sources are pricepoint.com, aebike.com, niagara cycle works, and nashbar.com.
But no matter what you do with your mtb, the most important accessory is a pair of those multicolored streamers that stick out of the ends of the handlebars. Without those, you're not a real mountain biker.

Buying accessories would depend on how you use your bike. I see you have a mountain bike. If you are riding off trails or rugged roads then all you probably need is a spare inner tube, patches to fix flats, tire removal tools, digital computer and of course one or more water bottle carriers. If you ride a night then a light for both rear and front should be added. I might add a small bike bag to carry your bike tire repair tools and inner tube.
If you aren't roughing it off road then a mirror is a must also. If you don't have clipless pedals in conjunction with biking shoes these are a must at least they are for me. However not all mountain bikers used them, most know do.
If you get into riding long distances on a bike experience will tell you what you need for doing that but not much more is needed if anything.
